The Trafficking Report Campaign

Overview

Swish Productions was engaged by the Joy Smith Foundation to lead the full creative and public relations execution of The Trafficking Report, a province wide awareness campaign focused on exposing the hidden realities of labour trafficking in Manitoba.

The campaign brought together investigative storytelling, community engagement, and strategic media outreach to amplify voices often unheard, while driving meaningful public awareness through trusted media channels.

Our Role

Swish Productions led The Trafficking Report campaign end to end.

We managed all creative production including photography, videography, editing, and content delivery, while overseeing talent, logistics, and on site execution across the province. We also directed the campaign’s press conference, leading media outreach and acting as the primary point of contact for attending press.

By handling both the creative and media execution under one team, we ensured a seamless campaign with strong press presence, clear messaging, and meaningful impact.

Full Campaign Execution

Swish Productions was responsible for producing all creative assets and managing all campaign logistics, including:

• Developing the campaign concept and creative direction
• Managing all photography and videography across multiple locations
• Directing and capturing interviews with frontline experts, industry leaders, and members of the public
• Handling all post production including video edits, photography selects, and final asset delivery
• Creating social and digital assets to support campaign distribution
• Managing all on camera talent and contributors
• Coordinating province wide travel and on site production logistics
• Overseeing all scheduling, run of show, and execution

Press Conference Leadership and Media Relations

A key pillar of the campaign was a high profile press conference fully produced and managed by Swish Productions.

Our responsibilities included:

• Developing and distributing media advisories and press materials
• Conducting targeted outreach to television, radio, print, and digital media
• Managing press confirmations and attendance
• Acting as the primary on site media coordinator and point of contact
• Managing press kits and media assets on site
• Coordinating venue setup, staging, and event flow
• Overseeing audio and technical requirements for speakers and media recording
• Liaising directly with reporters, producers, and camera crews
• Managing press follow up and continued media relations post event

This comprehensive approach ensured strong media turnout, smooth on site execution, and clear, consistent messaging across outlets.
